Cancelling or Rescheduling a Lesson

Cancelling or rescheduling a lesson is a breeze at Marin Piano Studio!  We are proud to offer the most flexible cancellation/rescheduling lesson policy of which we have ever heard!

Did you know you can import your piano lesson days and times directly into your digital calendar?  Just click Add to Calendar at the bottom of the email you received before you started lessons this year (and which shows all the lessons for the year).  You will then be able to just click on a piano lesson entry in your calendar and it will take you directly to our online scheduler .  An awesome option for you to use in the future!!

So you can enjoy the true ease and convenience of our Rescheduling Policy, here's what you need to do:

Safari Keys Program and Intermezzo Program:   

You may reschedule a lesson anytime prior to 15 minutes before the start of the lesson, and you may select to reschedule it to any available, future lesson day and time until the last week of May of the current school year.

There are 3 ways to reschedule a lesson:

1. The absolute easiest - if you use a digital calendar, import all the lessons from your initial confirmation email that lists all the lesson times for the school year. Then, if you can't make a lesson, just click that day's lesson entry in your calendar and you will be able to reschedule or cancel your lesson directly from there! It just doesn't get any easier than this!

2. Use the link at the bottom of your initial confirmation that lists all the lesson times for the year.

3. Use the link at the bottom of the reminder email that you receive 2 days before the lesson each week.  If you’d like a walkthrough of how to reschedule a lesson, here's a short video: How to Schedule a Makeup Lesson

Here are the steps to reschedule:

1. Click on "Reschedule" at the bottom of the original confirmation email, the email reminder sent out 2 days before your lesson.  If you're using the entry in your digital calendar, click on the lesson, then click "Reschedule".  

2. Click on the lesson day and time to which you want to reschedule and click confirm.  That's it - you will receive a confirmation and a reminder of your makeup lesson time.

* * * * * Alternatively, if you would like to cancel a lesson, without a makeup, just click on the lesson (using one of the 3 methods listed above and click “Cancel” instead of “Reschedule.”

Junior Safari Lessons:  

If you are going to miss one of your Junior Safari Lessons, please notify us as soon as possible.  

1. Cancel your lesson by clicking on "Cancel" at the bottom of the email reminder sent out 2 days before your lesson (or you can use the email that shows all lessons for the year that you received before Fall Lessons began).

2. We can send you a video of the lesson!   Watch the video while at the piano with your child and keep making progress!  

Adult Lessons:  

1.  Cancel your lesson by clicking on "Cancel" at the bottom of the email reminder sent out 2 days before your lesson.

2.  The night before your missed lesson, send us a quick email if you would like a Video Lesson, tell us the name of your instructor, and attach videos of you playing your current pieces.  During your missed lesson time, your instructor will happily prepare a Video Lesson for you, going over your playing, giving you tips and tricks and introducing new material, if applicable!

You will be able to watch the Video Lesson at your convenience - great for watching, pausing, really understanding the concepts, and continuing your progress!
